Lose The Fear Lose The Weight

[dropcap]F[/dropcap]ear stops us from doing so many things in life and starting a new training regime or nutrition plan is certainly on that list for many of you. But what are we really scared of when it comes down to starting a new training plan?

Usually it’s the thoughts of people starring at you when you’re at the gym, being judged by your friends and family, the fear of injuring yourself, the fear of failing (again), the fear of not knowing what you’re doing.

All of those thoughts create a huge feeling of overwhelm. And there’s no way you’re going to start anything with those thoughts flying around your head….

I get it though, it was only a few years ago that I was scared of putting content out on social media, I was scared of being judged by my colleagues, by local trainers by the guys that I looked up to? What if they laughed at everything I wrote?

The truth is, no one cares and it was stopping me from helping you guys and it was slowing down the growth of my business, all because of thoughts in my head.

I was letting thoughts stop me from doing what I love.

So let me ask you this one question, and I want you to think about this properly.

Can you prove any of the thoughts in your head are true?

Seriously, can you?

Because if you can’t…. you’re letting your THOUGHTS stop you from achieving your goals.

You won’t lose weight so that you feel more confident during work meetings.

You won’t lose the belly so that you can feel comfortable walking around the poolside this summer.

You won’t get back into your favorite dress again.

Your children will still poke your belly and make fun of you.

All of those WON’T be achieved because of a thought that you can’t prove is true.

Don’t let your thoughts stop you from being happy (that’s what they’re doing). Take control and take action.

When it comes to your fitness goals, start off small. You don’t have to make huge changes all at once. Make a small change, master it and then move onto the next small change. Lots of small changes become a big change.

If you’re not sure what changes you need to make or how to make them? Get in touch. We are here to help you 🙂
