Gymtimidation (yeah I did just make that up, I think it works aha) – the feeling of being intimidated by the ‘big guy’, the guy that knows everyone, the trainer that looks like he’s too arrogant to talk to you. In reality…the thing is, no one cares about you or what you’re doing. They’ve all got their own thing going on. The big guy in the gym, is probably the guy that’s most likely to help you out – he’s got big so chances are he knows at least the basics. The guy that knows everyone, he’ll probably have a chat with you eventually and you’ll make a new friend.

The trainer that appears to be too arrogant to talk to you is probably just being professional with his client and doing his job, he’d probably talk to you when he’s not with a paying customer.

I get it, the gym can appear to be a scary place, that’s partly why Impact was set up on a one-to-one basis so the fear of being watched and judged was taken away. But you have to realise, if you keep on being gymtimidated (I’m starting to like that word now) how will you achieve your goal?

Let’s face it, in order to achieve your dream body; they gym is a great place to start! This is going to sound really harsh, but you need to hear this > get over yourself. No-one genuinely cares about what you are doing at the gym, go their, smile, say hello and get stuck in (safely of course). If you just can’t seem to get over the gymtimidation, get in contact with us here at Impact. You will be able to work in a private, one-to-one facility with the best transformation Personal Trainers In Luton!
