A journey with Impact, Week 4.

[dropcap]T[/dropcap]his last week has been a week of ups and downs for Ross, as you know from last weeks blog, Ross had another great weigh in (the up) but unfortunately on Wednesdays session, Ross’ lower back went into spasm (the down).

Obviously no one likes to pick up an injury and here at Impact we do everything we can do minimise the risk, but unfortunately when you push your body to new limits it can happen.

Fortunately, our in-house Physiotherapist Liam was available and quickly diagnosed Ross, it was a spasm in the lower back and he carried out some manual therapy and gave Ross some advice, which was to keep mobile and to get heat onto the area as often as possible to aid recovery. The next day Ross was calling the gym to see if he could come down to train, you’ve got to love that kind of commitment, but we needed the body to heal properly before continuing with exercise, so I advised him to take 48 hours rest but to keep his nutrition on top form.

So that brings us up to today, Monday 7th. Ross came in for his weekly weigh in and having only trained 1 out of his usual 3 sessions, he was a bit hesitant to get onto the scales. He jumped on; 4lbs down, BOOM! (the up). Ross had just hit a huge milestone; sub 300lbs for the first time since he can remember! This should hopefully highlight to you all, just how important your nutrition is! With Ross’ back now, rested and fixed we went and trained.

We have been really delighted to receive a few emails from clients really motivated by Ross’ fat loss journey. If you’re inspired too and would like to start personal training then feel free to drop us an email at info@impact-pt-live.local and we will be more than happy to help YOU achieve YOUR goals.
