So this is the news you’ve been waiting for, this is the diet of all diets. You get to eat chocolate every day and still lose weight. Seriously, would I lie to you?
Don’t worry about getting protein, or vitamins and minerals from a variety of other foods. Just eat your chocolate bar.
Don’t worry about your health.
Don’t worry about increasing your daily energy levels so that you feel better
Just keep focused on the task at hand, weight loss…..right?
Here’s the plan:
Meal 1: ½ a mars bar
Meal 2: 1 whole mars bar
Meal 3: 1 whole mars bar
Don’t eat anything else, just your favorite chocolate.
Do that and lose weight.
Sounds too good to be true right?
Well technically no, it’s not too good to be true. It would work. But let’s face it, it’s not healthy and you’ll probably feel awful doing it.
Nor could you sustain that for the rest of your life, even though it sounds like fun! All this diet (like every other diet) is doing is restricting calories. So long as your body is within an energy deficit for the week, you will lose weight.
Your energy deficit can be created by expenditure (working out/movement), reduction on consumed energy (calories) or a combination of both (the best method).
Now I want you to replace the meals above with weight loss shakes provided by MLM companies such as Herbal life and Juice plus instead of the chocolate bar diet.
It’s the EXACT same thing, sure having a shake for every meal sounds easy and enjoyable, but there is an expiry date on how long you will continue the process for. It’s not sustainable long term.
So once you stop, what do you then do? You go back to your previous eating habits (the ones that caused you to gain weight in the first place). Thus the process starts all over again.
The only way you will see long-term success is by educating yourself. Learning about food and learning how to train efficiently for your body.
In reality, the process is actually pretty simple. Now that doesn’t mean it’s easy because it’s not. In fact, the first few months are damn hard.
That’s where your new routines and habits are starting to be changed and that’s the hard bit. Once you get into your new routine, it will ‘feel’ much easier.
The quick results from doing things right will keep you motivated through this part of your journey.
So if you’ve tried everything and ‘nothing works’, maybe starting a process of education whilst making yourself accountable to someone (*ahem* Click Me) is what you need? < This is 100% what you need!
